So what is a Young Mayor all about? What do they do?

What is the YMN? And what do all these words mean?!

Hopefully we've answered some of your questions right here...

The Young Mayor Network (YMN) is a new body that gives directly-elected young mayors the chance to support each other and come together with a view to getting their voices heard on a national stage.

The aims of the Young Mayor network are to:
- Act as a lobbying group where there is common interest.
- Share ideas and best practice on a regional and national level.
- Collaborate on projects and campaigns.
- Advocate for democratically elected Young Mayors.

www.ymn.org.uk is a tool for the young mayors and other passionately involved young people to come together from across the country.  There are a number of blogs and vlogs on the website of young people doing just that.   It is also a one-stop shop for anyone wanting to find out more information about young mayors and how the scheme might work in their area.
