Daniel Marshall

Young Mayor: Vale of Glamorgan

BIO

Hi, I’m Daniel Marshall the Vale of Glamorgan Youth Mayor 2015-16. I would like to thank everyone who voted during the Youth Mayor Election campaign in Local Democracy Week. I’m in Year 11 in Cowbridge Comprehensive School and enjoy playing rugby.  I’m currently studying Geography, German and Triple Science and would like to go to university to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics.  My future goal is to have a career in politics.  As well as being a Youth Councillors for the Vale of Glamorgan, I am a Rights Ambassador and deliver workshops to children, young people and professionals to raise awareness about the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

WHAT I PLAN TO WHILE IN OFFICE

I believe that young people in the Vale of Glamorgan should be able to express their points of view that will inevitably help to improve our community.  As stated in my manifesto I am driven to improve network connection speeds in the Vale.  I believe that this is achievable and I will try to fulfil my promise.  You can watch my manifesto here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrQ6A7kxpv0
