Term: 22nd May 2013 – 21st May 2014

Cara Honey

Young Mayor: Frome Parish

BIOGRAPHY

Cara Honey was appointed Frome's first Mayor for Young People at the Annual Council Meeting on 22 May 2013.

Cara is continuing her education at Frome College next year and will be studying English Literature, Theatre studies, Media studies and History for her A levels.

Cara's future aspirations are to be involved in Theatre Management and perhaps local politics.

WHAT I PLAN TO DO WHILE IN OFFICE

Cara says the main thing that she would like to do this year is to improve the image of young people in Frome and to create a better relationship between businesses, organisations and young people.

She also wants to raise the profile of the Youth Council and gain more members to ensure that it can continue for years to come. Cara is keen to contribute to Civic Life in Frome, will be working closely with the Mayor of Frome, Dickon Moore, and will be representing Frome and the Town Council in events, including international twinning meetings, over the year.

Cara and her deputy Alex Shingler aim to attend all Town Council meetings to make sure Council initiatives and decisions are made with young people in mind.
