I am the ninth Youth Mayor of Worthing. I’ve been an active member of the Worthing Youth Council since 2011 and after my first year as a Youth Councillor I decided I wanted to bring more to the role. In 2012 I stood for Deputy Youth Mayor. This included accompanying the Youth Mayor at various engagements and representing the youth of Worthing. I was successful and was made the Deputy Youth Mayor on the 18th of May 2012. I have been brought up in Worthing all my life and I am currently studying law, government and politics, English literature and textiles at Worthing College.
I have three aims which I wish to achieve in my year as Youth Mayor. These include; promoting a positive image of young people across the borough of Worthing, visiting as many organisations and charities as possible which provide for young people and making them aware what is available to them, and lastly to ensure that the voice of young people is heard within the town.
